Dual SATA RAID Storage Controller with Encryption

The OXUFS946DSE is a quad interface to dual SATA storage controller with integrated hardware RAID and encryption engines. Bridging between eSATA, 1394 or USB2.0 interfaces, the OXUFS946DSE delivers best-in-class performance across all interfaces and enables a range of external secure storage applications including dual disk RAID configurations. Integrating an eSATA device, 1394b link, a USB2.0 device and a dual port SATA II host controller OXUFS946DSE enables designers to create products with a minimal number of external components and a low cost BOM.

The OXUF946DSE includes a flexible cipher engine providing on-the-fly encryption / decryption of the data to the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), enabling OEMs to deploy full disk encryption solutions and provide end users with the peace-of-mind that their private content is safe and secure in the event of theft or loss. The OXUFS946DSE is complemented by robust authentication solutions including software password and a customizable host application, the PLX Technology Authenticator, is provided for both PCs and Mac hosts.

The OXUFS946DSE is provided with robust application firmware, thereby shortening development cycles, and PLX offers a comprehensive support package including evaluation boards, reference designs and software development kit.
