Description

Changing the dynamics of device customization Oxide enables engineers to evaluate, customize, and package PLX's serial connectivity devices in minutes. No more complex, time consuming, error prone manual editing of programming files and driver source code. No more searching for the most up to date collateral and no more time consuming creation of software installer packages. Oxide's intuitive graphical user interface provides a 'one stop shop' for automated collateral updates and simple 'point-and-click' feature selection and text box entry for fast, error free customization without resorting to source code editing.

Oxide also includes tools for developing EEPROM programming and .INF files for customizing the Device Properties page of the Device Manager and for creating the final device driver installer package ready for the field. By leveraging the power of these tools, engineers can make complex changes to device and driver set-up in minutes and with minimal knowledge of the underlying software. Making specific product customizations is a simple matter of checking boxes and filling out text in the Oxide GUI. No software expertise is required.

Once customization is complete, the EEPROM can be programmed in-circuit through Oxide's EEPROM interface or dumped to a programming file and the customized device driver package is ready to install.
